When I was younger I learned how to spell my name by sounding it out as "Mad - Is - On."

You know, some words are just easier to sound out in your head ("Wed - Nes - Day" - "Con-Grat-U-Lations")...just me? Ok.

Senior Graphic Designer

@Compass Group USA / Canteen    {May 2022 - Current}

Responsibilities include the conceptualization and designs for custom Canteen proposals as well as collateral materials including presentations, binders, and creative packaging solutions.

Brand Manager

@Window World    {October 2020 - May 2022}

Earned promotion following completion of high-priority branding initiatives and demonstrated ability to train users across the Window World system. I am responsible for managing the Window World brand marks and how they are used across a variety of touchpoints, both internally and externally. As we continue to implement our updated brand across the nation, I am responsible for making sure all pieces that are created for each of our franchise locations align with our Brand Identity Guide.

Graphic Designer

@Window World    {February 2018 - October 2020}

I joined the newly formed internal marketing team at Window World as a Graphic Designer. My primary responsibility has been re-branding the nationwide company as "America's Exterior Remodeler."

Some of my most important projects are highlighted below

  • Established brand rules and designed the new Brand Identity Guide in an effort to unify the nationwide brand’s presence across the country.

  • Developed both a Vehicle Graphics Program and a Signage Co-Op Program with nationwide vendors that made it easy for our franchisees to order compliant materials no matter their physical location.

  • Populated a new digital asset management (DAM) system, powered by Brandfolder, by finding and organizing all of our brand and manufacturer assets.

  • Created a streamlined approval process system to ensure that all local franchise advertising is compliant.

  • Collaborated with my team to design and develop new corporate and local franchisee websites. By streamlining the site design and integrating with the new DAM, changes can be pushed to all sites in bulk.

  • Refined the designs and layouts for all Window World literature and advertising templates to match the new brand look and feel.

  • Produced branded signage and assets for annual sponsored events, which created impactful experiences for attendees.

Graphic Artist

@EP+Co    {August 2016 - January 2018}

  • EP+Co has a large client roster including Denny’s, Verizon, Lenovo, eBay, and Chick-fil-a to name a few. In my position, I was responsible for creating press-ready print, outdoor, and digital ads for almost all of EP’s clients.

  • Shadowed developers to learn basic coding skills and brought that insight back to my team, which bridged the gap between the studio and the web dev teams. This simplified the process for simple HTML edits for our clients.

  • Appointed by the executive team to create final presentations and any design collateral needed for new business pitches. Clients won include Men’s Wearhouse, Strayer University, John Deere, and Lowe’s Home Improvement.

Studio Intern

@Erwin Penland    {June 2016 - August 2016}

  • After graduation, I spent ten weeks interning at Erwin Penland (later known as EP+Co) working in the studio. As part of the studio team, I learned the process of versioning out creative campaigns for a variety of clients. This position focused on producing quality, press-ready files in both large-scale and small-scale formats.

Event Marketing / Social Media Manager

@MerleFest    {June 2015 - Ongoing}

  • MerleFest is a bluegrass music festival held in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. I started helping as an intern in 2015 doing general marketing tasks leading up to the festival. Since then, I have become the lead on all the official MerleFest social media accounts during the annual 4-day festival. I am responsible for monitoring all conversations, posting live coverage of performances, and sharing organic content.

Publicity Programmer

@Appalachian State University Recreation    {January 2013 - June 2015}

  • Organized events and competitions, created flyers, t-shirts, bulletin board materials, magazine ads, schedules, and promo videos for both the Outdoor Programs and Fitness recreation departments.

Advertising Consultant

@Michael's Jewelry    {March 2011 - May 2016, Ongoing}

  • Michael's Jewelry was my first "real job." I started as a sales associate in high school and worked there part-time until I graduated college. I still help out with their advertising seasonally. I am now responsible for creating quarterly ad campaigns for the store which include billboards, newspaper, magazine, and digital ads.
